Where do I find the office of Blue Car Rental in Iceland?
Blue Car Rental has its booking office in Fitjabakka 1e, 260 Reykjanesbaer next to the Keflavik International Airport (KEF).
Our location is described in detail and illustrated on maps in the link "Location Map" in the menu-bar above.
When is your office open?
Our office is open from 7.00 to 23.00 every day of the week. We can be reached by phone 24/7, call us at +354 773 7070 or send us an e-mail to blue@bluecarrental.is
Which documents are necessary to rent a car?
The driver's original and valid passport (same applies to additional drivers).
The driver's original and valid driving license (same applies to additional drivers).
A valid credit card.
I have a foreign driver's license, can I use your services?
Yes you can use our services, even if you have a foreign driver's license. Make sure to bring an international drivers license (translation) if the local office will not be able to read your drivers license (for example when it is written in Chinese).
How old do I need to be to be able to rent a car from you?
Renter must be 20 years of age and 23 to rent a jeep.
How can I pay for my rental?
Credit card payment is the only option to pay for your rental vehicle when you book online. Visa, MasterCard and American Express are valid.
You also need to show a credit card when you pick up the vehicle.

What is included in the rental price?
The rental price includes unlimited mileage, 25,5% VAT tax and Collision Damage Waiver (CDW), Gravel Protection (GP) , Theft Protection (TP) and Super Collision Damage Waiver (SCDW). Further information can be found in terms & conditions.
Why is everything included in your rental price?
To make it easier for our customers to book online, just one price. When you collect your vehicle that you booked online, you know everything has been paid in full.
Is there a minimum rental period?
Minimum rental period is 24 hours.
I booked a pick-up at the airport, how do I collect my car?
When entering the arrival hall at Keflavik International Airport, please turn to the Blue Car Rental employee that has your name on a white-board, he will follow you to the car.
Can the cars be delivered to any place in Reykjavik?
We offer Hotel or guesthouse pick up in Reykjavik. Just choose pick up location on our home page and we deliver the car to your convenience.
Where and how will I return the car?
When returning the car, please take it to our office close to the Keflavik International Airport and we will then drop you off directly to the departure hall, no charge. You can find where we are located on the link „Location map".
Is it possible to return the car outside of opening hours?
It is possible. Please make sure that the car is full of fuel, park it outside our office or the airport.
If I bring the car back early can I have a refund?
Unfortunately no refunds can be given for unused or partly used car hire vouchers unless the amendments or cancellations have been made prior to pick up date, please refer to amendment charges.
Can I be sure that the selected vehicle is available?
If the vehicle you selected during the reservation is unavailable during pick up, we will supply you with a similar model. We always guarantee the category, but not the brand and/or model.
Do you offer emergency breakdown assistance?
Yes, we offer 24/7 emergency breakdown assistance which means you can call our emergency line every day, 24 hours a day. Blue Car Rental has service partners all around the country if something breaks down or if something has to be replaced. If you have an accident or of the car breaks down we will of course replace the car with a new one.
