Canyons at Fjaðrárgljúfur.

Before we went to Iceland we had seen impressive photos of a canyon south of Vik called Fjaðrárgljúfur. Looked really interesting so we decided to go and see what it is all about. And yes, Fjaðrárgljúfur was really breath taking. You need to make a stop here if you are in the area.
F-roads and Landmannalaugar
This was the most epic day of our trip. For the first time we had the chance to try drivning on
icelandic F-roads with the classic Land Rover Defender. A real pleasure.
We woke up in Vik and left the cost and aimed towards the Icelandic highlands. This was a one
day trip so we hade to get up quite early in order to have enough time to see and hike
Landmannalaugar before the the light disappeared.
F-roads is really exciting do drive, the roads are tricky so you need to be careful. We drove through
water which is really scary for the first time but after some times you get the feeling and you can
just enjoy what you experience. When you drive on this remote roads you are always surrounded
with mountains, lava fields and incredible views. And their is almost no cars, no gas stations and
specially no restaurants. So be prepared before getting out.
After 3 hours driving on bumpy roads we arrived to Landmannalaugar, the coolest place I have
been to. I let the pictures talk for them self.
