What size is a small car?

We offer small cars in various sizes. From the compact Toyota Aygo, to the spacious Kia Cee’d Sportswagon. Our small cars are suited for 4 to 5 passengers with luggage spaces ranging from 1 to 4 large suitcases.

What is the rental price?

Renting a small car is a great option for those traveling on a budget. Small cars have our lowest rental rate per day and lowest fuel consumption.

You can visit all corners of Iceland on any of our small cars as they are allowed on all roads within Iceland´s main road system. Including the entire Ring Road. Small cars are not allowed on F-roads.

When can I rent a small car?

It is possible to rent a small car all year round. Summer is the best time to drive a small car in Iceland. From May to October, road conditions are good with clear roads and mild weather. During the winter from November to April our small cars are fitted with studded winter tires.

What is your cancellation policy?

Our cancellation policy varies based on the type of booking made for the rental. • Refundable booking: Cancel more than 24 hours prior to the rental and get a full refund (100%). In case of a no-show or last day cancellation, we charge 100% of the rental amount.• Nonrefundable booking: No refund in case of cancellation.

What Are The Age Requirements?

Renter must be 20 years of age to rent a 2WD car or a medium sized 4WD/AWD.

Can I book without a credit card?

Yes, even though Credit card payment is the best option to pay for your rental vehicle you; may also book with a debit card if you have the online payment option available on it.

Can I reduce the Liability to Zero?

Yes, all our customers can reduce their liability to zero by opting for our Liability Waiver. Reducing the liability amount for any damage covered by our insurances to zero.

Do you offer roadside assistance?

Yes, we offer 24/7 roadside assistance. Our Roadside Assistance Waiver reduces the amount that Blue Car Rental charges for assistance that is required because of a breakdown, accident, damage, or other reasons that are the driver´s / renter´s responsibility to ZERO.

Do I need to leave a deposit?

No, we do not hold a deposit from our customers while they have a rental car. We need to see a valid credit card on arrival, we will only hold the imprint of the card as a guarantee. If the renter does not have a credit card we do accept 16 digit number debit card.
