You can easily visit all corners of Iceland on our Passengers vehicle. Easy to handle while driving and capable of handling all paved roads and gravel roads within Iceland´s main road system. Including the entire Ring Road. Passengers vehicles are not allowed on F-roads.

When can I rent a Passengers vehicle?

It is possible to rent our Passengers vehicles throughout the year. The best time drive a passenger vehicle in Iceland is summer, from May to October. During winter all our Passengers vehicles are equipped with studded winter tires from November to April.

What is your cancellation policy?

Our cancellation policy varies based on the type of booking made for the rental. • Refundable booking: Cancel more than 24 hours prior to the rental and get a full refund (100%). In case of a no-show or last day cancellation, we charge 100% of the rental amount.• Nonrefundable booking: No refund in case of cancellation.

What Are The Age Requirements?

To rent our larger 4WD, SUV´s or Passenger vehicle, the renter must be 23 years of age.

Can I book without a credit card?

Yes, even though Credit card payment is the best option to pay for your rental vehicle you;may also book with a debit card if you have the online payment option available on it.

Can I reduce the Liability to Zero?

Yes, all our customers can reduce their liability to zero by opting for our Liability Waiver. Reducing the liability amount for any damage covered by our insurances to zero.

Do you offer roadside assistance?

Yes, we offer 24/7 roadside assistance. Our Roadside Assistance Waiver reduces the amount that Blue Car Rental charges for assistance that is required because of a breakdown, accident, damage, or other reasons that are the driver´s / renter´s responsibility to ZERO.

Do I need to leave a deposit?

No, we do not hold a deposit from our customers while they have a rental car. We need to see a valid credit card on arrival, we will only hold the imprint of the card as a guarantee. If the renter does not have a credit card we do accept 16 digit number debit card.

While our Passenger vehicles can take you on remarkable journeys across Iceland, they are not permitted on F-roads.

Rental Requirements

The Minimum rental period for a Passenger vehicle is 24 hours.
Renters/drivers must be 23 years of age to rent a Passenger vehicle.
All drivers must have a calid driver license.
