Our headquarters at Keflavík International Airport is located right next to the airport, at Blikavöllur 3. The office is within walking distance from the airport and takes only about 3 minutes to walk. See how to get there here.

Our Reykjavik City office is located at Fiskislóð 22 in downtown Reykjavík. It is very centrally located and easy to reach on foot for those staying in downtown Reykjavik. 

Picking up from our downtown office is free of charge and the office is open from 08:00-18:00.

Our customers can either return the car at our office at Blikavöllur 3, 235 Keflavík Airport or at Fiskislóð 22, 101 Reykjavík City.

Yes, you can return the car outside of opening hours in a key box which is located outside our office.

We offer all our clients who have added Liability Waiver to their reservation to pick up their car keys through Key Box if they wish.

When you go through the online check-in you can decide if you want to pick up the car keys at the counter or in a key box.

If you’re late for your pick-up, your booking will not be canceled. The car will be ready and waiting for you from your scheduled pick-up time, but please note that the return time will remain unchanged. We kindly ask that you notify us of your late arrival.

Please keep in mind that if you cancel, no refund will be provided in accordance with our cancellation policy. In cases of no-shows or same-day cancellations, 100% of the rental amount will be charged.

Yes, all customers receive a discount chip attached to their car rental key. This chip provides a 7 ISK discount for every litre of fuel at Olís and ÓB gas stations in Iceland.

Additionally, customers can use the chip to enjoy a 10% discount on food and drinks at Olís stations and their restaurants, including Grill 66, ReDi Deli, and Lemon.

Once you complete the online check-in process, you can receive a wallet pass directly to your phone. The wallet pass includes a unique QR code that streamlines your experience at our office. Simply scan the QR code upon arrival, and you’ll be automatically directed to the correct line. This makes the service faster and more convenient, ensuring a smoother start to your journey with Blue Car Rental.

You can pay for a parking ticket in Iceland by scanning the QR code printed on the ticket or by visiting bilastaedasjodur.reykjavik.is to pay online.

If you pay the fine within a set time frame, typically within 3 days, the amount is reduced.

If the ticket is not paid before returning the vehicle:

• It will be sent to Blue Car Rental by the parking authority.

• The full fine amount will be charged to your credit card, along with an additional handling fee.
